Hi
This collection is in Napa, with a widder-lady. I am hoping the records will be ok. THere are tons of them, and he seemed to have divided them out into labels, with boxes of records of one manufacturer, like Okeh. A cople of boxes are labeled 'OLD', so no telling what's in there. Probably a lot of those rare John McCormick one-sided Red Seals.

OMG I am thinking that all those DDs could be delaminating.....At least the
BAs should be ok unless the plaster is all falling out!!
My thinking is that at least I will get a vacation out of it.

I bought a box of 200 BAs from a guy in Petaluma about 8 months ago. Not one
would fit on a mandrel. None were round as the plaster had deformed. There
were 2 that were worth saving with titles I wanted. They are sitting on solid
brass mandrels now and slowly coming back to shape. Then I will fine fit
them with the sandpaper covered mandrel.

BTW - if this is the collection up in Lakeport, that is another 2+ hour drive
north of Petaluma. Enjoy yourself. When I quit collecting I quit chasing
these hoardes down as most of them were collections of junk. The last large
collection auctioned off in Galt, California, was 99% real junk with only a few
items of any value. I showed up just to see what the stuff went for.

Wishing you the best of rare finds,

Al
