[Phono-L] mystery tone arm and reproducer

I have a very strange tone arm and reproducer.  The diaphragm appears to be
made of cardboard.  It’s stamped ‘J.H. ELLIS Melodious Music-Master’ and has
a patent date of 1916-1919.

Anybody out there know anything about this company?    Thanks,  Jay
